The post Camburg Spindle Snout 12pt Bolt Hardware Kit first appeared on Camburg Engineering.]]>
We use the best 12 point bolts for our front bolt-on spindle snouts out there and here’s a kit with everything you need. These are designed for our spindle snouts and snout blocks but also work with many others. These MS21250 aircraft bolts are 3/8-24 with a 3/8″ grip length. They are rated 180,000 psi minimum tensile strength and 108,000 psi minimum shear strength. A stronger or higher quality bolt does not exist, hence why the Military, NASA and Aircraft companies use these. They have a specific shoulder/grip length and the head design yields higher tensile and shear strengths compared to any Grade 8, 9 or 12.9 bolt. They are made to the highest quality control standards out there. The radius under-head design requires use of special counter-sunk hardened washers that we supply. These also have the heads drilled for safety wire to be used.

  • 3/8-24 x 3/8″ grip 12 point MS21250 bolts (24)
  • 3/8″ CS underhead washers (24)

These are manufactured by RPI “Reid Products Inc”.

  • 5″ x 7.25″ x 5/8″ thick
  • 12 bolt Dana 44 pattern
  • The post Camburg 4130 TT Bolt-on Spindle Snout Block first appeared on Camburg Engineering.]]>
Looking to build your own spindles/uprights using a bolt-on hub spindle snout? Our TT spindle snout block is CNC machined in-house from aircraft quality 4130 chromoly that’s 5/8″ thick. It’s 5″ x 7.25″ and uses the industry standard Dana 44 bolt pattern that we have doubled up (12 on 4″ w/ 3.375″ ID bore). The bolt holes are 3/8-24 and we recommend using mil-spec/NAS MS21250 series 12pt bolts to attach the snout with. The spindle bore is machined undersized and will need to be final machined for a slight press fit after welding and/or heat-treatment. These are thicker and taller than our standard square versions. We’ve also pocketed these to reduce weight without compromising the strength.

    • Designed for all Camburg 12 bolt spindle snouts among many others

We machine all sides and the top & bottom surfaces so everything is parallel. Nothing is laser or waterjet cut like cheaper versions.

    • Sold individually

Desolate Motorsports 5/8″-18 Street Wheel Lug Nuts (60 deg taper) https://camburg.com/shop/drivetrain/dt-hubs/hub-parts/desolate-motorsports-58-18-street-wheel-lug-nuts-60-deg-taper/ Thu, 15 Aug 2019 22:08:36 +0000 http://camburg.com/?post_type=product&p=53135 Made in the USA

The post Desolate Motorsports 5/8″-18 Street Wheel Lug Nuts (60 deg taper) first appeared on Camburg Engineering.]]>
Desolate Motorsports machines these 5/8″-18 RH lug nuts to fit street wheels that have a 60 degree tapered seat when running aftermarket hubs with 5/8″ wheel studs. We only recommend using these with our 2.0 or 2.25 front and rear hubs. We do not recommend these to be used with our 2.50 front and rear hubs due to having shouldered wheel studs.

By design with the extended 1″ hex portion, they fit street wheels that aren’t machined for race hubs. These are gold zinc plated for corrosion resistance and are sold individually or in sets of 10 or 12.

These do not work with race 90 degree tapers or flat seats.

Depending on the wheel, you may need to ream the hole larger for the 5/8″ stud and re-chamfer the 60 degree seat for the proper lug nut engagement. This process can be done with a hand drill and the tire doesn’t have to be removed. It is critical you do this correctly or you can damage the wheel. A 43/64″ ream is recommend to use for the ID.

Disclaimer: We recommend running race wheels with race hubs that utilize larger wheels studs due to the fact that they have more material in the lug nut area making them much stronger for off-road use. Some wheel designs are not compatible with larger studs and studs with a shoulder to them. It’s your responsibility to insure these work correctly in a safe manner.
